CHEMMONITOR.COM - By 2030, the EU targeted to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions in the region by 40% in order to fight climate changes. The EC’s goal to cut pollution, restrain increasing energy costs and overhaul renewable-energy policies requires on average EUR 38 billion or USD 52 billion annually.

Currently, the target of the EC is to decrease hazardous emissions by about 20% in 2020, if compared to 1990 figures. This reduction is likely to result in a 32% cut of emissions by 2030.
