CHEMMONITOR.COM – After the final version of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada’s bill to raise the import duties, the whole polymeric group was removed from it. Consequently, the import duties on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and its derivatives remained the same.

In early November 2012, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved legislation to increase the import duties on over ten product items, excluding the polymeric group with PVC and its derivatives.

Originally, it was planned to lift the tax on almost all polymeric products, which is imported in the country, including PVC and ethylene.
