Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI) to Suspend Operations at Styrene Monomer (SM) Facility in Merak in Oct 2014

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Indonesia-based company Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI) is going to idle its No. 2 styrene monomer (SM) facility in line with maintenance turnaround. The operations at the plant are scheduled to be suspended in mid-October 2014 for about a month. The SM plant with an annual production capacity of 250,000 metric tons is located in Merak (Indonesia).

Moreover, SMI is slated to stop its No.1 SM plant for the same reason in November 2014.
