Orpic’s LPP to Be Operational in 2018

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Oman-based company Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) entered into an agreement with five companies to complete the Liwa Plastic Project (LPP). The contracts (USD 80 million) were signed with Randall Gas Technologies, Axens, CB&I, Basell Poliolefine and Univation Technologies. The LPP is assessed at USD 3.6 billion.

The above companies plan to launch the following production facilities: natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction, PyGas hydrogenation, Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) producing unit, polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) units.
