CHEMMONITOR.COM - Ethylene and propylene production at the Lukoil’s Stavrolen petchem complex (Budennovsk, Russia) is currently suspended for six months due to repair works that are implemented at the site.

Suspended production at the complex is a result of a February fire caused by depressurization of the aluminum heat exchanger. The fire started at the Stavrolen petchem complex in the ethylene and propylene production unit No. 2 in late February.

Ethylene and propylene production capacities at the facility are unlikely to recommence until early 2015.
