Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Cathode Materials Production to Start in Weimar in Germany

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Germany-based chemical company launched lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials production at the plant, which is located in Weimar (Germany). The plant’s production capacity reaches 3,000 tonnes. The LPF facility utilizes LFP precursors made at the company’s plant in Ludwigshafen (Germany). Operations at Weimar facility are carried out by IBU-Tec, which is supervised by BASF. LFP materials produced by BASF are employed for various applications.
