Bayer MaterialScience to Set up Hexamethylene di-isocyanate (HDI) Facility in Shanghai in 2016

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Germany-based company Bayer MaterialScience AG is planning to build a hexamethylene di-isocyanate (HDI) facility at Shanghai site (China). The projected plant with the annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes is scheduled to be commissioned in 2016. The company has already broken ground for the construction.

The plant will help Bayer MaterialScience to meet the rising demand for coatings and adhesives used in such sectors as construction, shoe and textile industries and automotive industry.
