Evonik Industries to Start Methionine Production in Antwerp in Late 2015

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Germany-based specialty chemicals producer Evonik Industries AG is going to put up a methionine facility in Antwerp (Belgium). The projected plant will manufacture the product used in the shrimp and crustaceans industry. The methionine under the trade name AQUAVI Met-Met produced at the future plant is expected to be added to the feed utilized in aquacultures.

The company is apt to commence operations at the facility at the end of 2015.
