BASF and Corbion Purac Partnered For Biobased Succinic Acid Production

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Succinity (Germany), a JV between BASF (Germany) and Corbion Purac (the Netherlands), commenced biobased succinic acid production at the Corbion Purac site in Spain. The firm”s output will total 10,000 tonnes annually.

Succinic acid is used for making polyurethanes, coatings, bio-polymers and life science products. The firm uses renewable feedstock for the production of the material and fixes carbon dioxide.
