CHEMMONITOR.COM - Germany-based special chemicals company Evonik Industries AG invested about EUR 6 million into new Rohacell structural foam plant. The facility was launched in late 2013 in Darmstadt (Germany). The new plant raises the polymerization capacity at the Darmstadt site by 50% and reduces cycle times in half. With the plant, the company intends to satisfy rising demand in the market. The Rohacell facility is equipped with efficient robot technology.

Rohacell foam is resistant towards high temperatures (up to 220°C), has excellent dynamic strength and isotropic properties.
