Demand for Petrochemicals Likely to Be Met in China

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Two China-based companies, Shandong Huachao Chemical Co., Ltd. and Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co. Ltd. will use the technology of US-based multi-national company UOP LLC in order to satisfy the rising high-value petrochemicals demand in China. The Chinese companies will produce isobutylene, and transform normal butane to isobutane and convert isobutane to isobutylene and propane to propylene, respectively. Shandong Huachao will  employ C4 Oleflex™ process, Zibo Qixiang Tengda will use the Butamer™ process and C3/C4 Oleflex process.
