CHEMMONITOR.COM - Ludwigshafen-headquartered German chemical company BASF is to start its new plant at Yeosu site (Korea). The plant is expected to increase Ultrason® polyarylsulfone supply and to provide about 50 people with new jobs. The facility with the production capacity of about 6,000 metric tons annually is to cater to the growing Asia Pacific market.

The new facility is the first BASF’s plant of such kind outside of Germany. By 2020, the facility is predicted to produce around 75% of all company’s products that are sold in Asia Pacific.
