South Africa Chemical Company Raised Production Capacity at Its Cracker

CHEMMONITOR.COM - South Africa-based company Sasol Limited raised annual production capacity of its 90,000 metric tons ethylene cracker located at Sasolburg site. The capacity expansion was carried out by removing bottlenecks. That will add 47,000 metric tons of polyethylene (PE) per year in production.

Currently, Sasol Limited produces 150,000 metric tons of low density polyethylene (LDPE) per year and 220,000 metric tons of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) annually at its plant at Sasolburg complex.
