Celanese Set to Idle Its Plants in Spain and France

CHEMMONITOR.COM - US company Celanese, which produces acetyl products and vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), is scheduled to close its two plants in Spain and France. The consultation process, that was launched in November of 2013, was held by the company’s French and Spanish subsidiaries.

Celanese is set to stop all operations at its acetic anhydride plant located at Roussillon site and vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) facility at Tarragona site by late 2013.
