CHEMMONITOR.COM - Maximus Resources, the Australia-based firm, is expected to endure a decline in global zinc supply over the following three to four years. The shortage is primarily induced by the head grades reduction from the existing mines. The end of life at the mines will lead to their shutdown. Thus, 11% of the total zinc production is likely to be removed from the market by 2016-2017.
