French Company Global Bioenergies to Build Industrial Pilot Plant in Germany

CHEMMONITOR.COM - France-based company Global Bioenergies is planning to put up a pilot plant at Leuna refinery in Leipzig, in Germany. The construction is the last part of Global Bioenergies’ development program.

The future plant was financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany. The investment was assessed at over EUR 5.5 million. The industrial pilot plant should carry out a three-year study for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes (CBP). This center unites a combination of fermentation capabilities and olefin-oriented chemical engineering.
