Braskem to Raise Its LLDPE Production Capacity

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Brazil-based petrochemical company Braskem S.A. intends to raise its annual linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) production capacity by 120 kilo tons.  Braskem S.A. is going to convert one of its PE production lines to manufacture resins.

The plant is situated in the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex. The production line is to be operational in Q1 of 2015. The investment into this capacity expansion will allow the company to meet its clients’ demand for films with higher performance. The investment into the expansion is estimated at about BRL 50 million.
