Start up of Mucosa Plant in Rheda-Wiedenbrueck Slated for Q2 2014

CHEMMONITOR.COM - German heparin producing company Pharma Action and the Tönnies group implemented the groundbreaking ceremony for a mucosa plant located at Rheda-Wiedenbrueck site. The start up of the facility is scheduled for Q2 2014.

The future plant, which covers an area of over 3,000 square metres, is expected to manufacture more than 30% of Europe traceable mucosa. The key features of the mucosa plant among others include full automation and systems for the recycling of various unspecified substances and resources.
