Methanex Corporation Intends to Lift Its Methanol Capacity

CHEMMONITOR.COM - In early October, the Canada-based leader in the supply, distribution and marketing of methanol, Methanex Corporation, manufactured methanol from the plant which was newly-restarted. The plant with the capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year is located at Waitara Valley site in New Zealand. In September, the company also resumed operations at its distillation unit at Motunui site in New Zealand. These initiatives are forecast to allow the company to lift its overall annual capacity in New Zealand by up about to 900,000.
