Polief to Increase Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Capacity at its Unit

CHEMMONITOR.COM –  The Russian polyethylene terephthalate (PET) manufacturer Polief (a joint venture, partially owned by Sibur) has started the new project aimed at the increase of capacity by nearly 71,100 tonnes per year at its facility. The unit is located in Blagoveshchensk (Russia).

At present, the plant produces 140,000 tonnes per year. After the implementation of the project, its annual output will reach 210,000 tonnes.

The project has several stages. The first one is to be launched in H2 2012.
