Biopolymers Output to Grow in the USA

CHEMMONITOR.COM – NatureWorks with headquarters in the USA intends to execute a capacity add at its manufacturing facility located in Blair (USA). At present, the unit generates up to 0.14 million tonnes of polylactid (PLA) biopolymers per year.

The project is targeted not only to the output increase, but it will allow to initiate making of new products at the site, namely lactides and resins.

The output rise will be executed via launching the new equipment. The latter one is supplied by Sulzer Chemtech headquartered in Switzerland.
