CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Oman-based producer Salalah Methanol Company (SMC) is likely to launch its urea and ammonia production expansion in order to answer demand for the materials in the local market.

At present, the company is considering the prospects of expansion in the near future. SMC has not finally decided upon the plan as the company needs to analyse all the details considering the project.

Supply of raw material for ammonia and urea production is sufficient, so the expansion is quite possible.
