Chinese Affiliate of Indorama Ventures to Expand Its Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Capacity

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The China-based affiliate of Indorama Ventures, Guangdong IVL PET Polymer, commenced the output expansion. The company plans to raise it from about 115,000 tonnes of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to over 390,000 tonnes of the product annually.

The producer has been running the PET unit since 2010.

Guangdong IVL PET Polymer also operates a plant producing roughly 132,000 tonnes of polyester fibre unit at the same site.

Lately, the company has started its PET plant at Port Harcourt site in Nigeria.
