CHEMMONITOR.COM – Prices for Asian propylene were nominated at around USD 1,345 per metric ton on Cost and Freight (CFR) China basis, down by approximately USD 42 per metric ton or 3.1%. The values of the product decreased; however, there were no Chinese and S Korean consumers in the market due to the national holidays in both countries. Consequently, the market was expected to demonstrate bearishness.

Nevertheless, the market witnessed an activity in line with a shutdown of an acrylic acid unit with the capacity of about 462,000 metric tons at Himeji site.
