IndianOil Plant Remains Shut after Fire Accident

CHEMMONITOR.COM – India-based oil and gas corporation Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) idled its high density polyethylene (HDPE)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) swing facility following a fire accident at the plant on January 22, 2018. The plant with an annual capacity of 350,000 metric tons is located at the site in Panipat (Haryana, India). The shutdown duration remains undisclosed.

Two other production units – the 300,000 mt/y HDPE plant and the 600,000 mt/y PP plant – were not affected by the fire.
