Johns Manville Corporation Restarted Glass Fibre Production Furnace

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The US-based manufacturer of building and mechanical insulation, commercial roofing, glass fibers, and nonwoven materials, Johns Manville Corporation, has recently upgraded and recommenced one of its two glass fibre producing furnaces with raised capacities. The furnaces are situated in Waterville (Ohio, USA).

Glass fibres manufactured at these furnaces are applied for processing reinforcement materials for composites and compounds like polyamide (PA), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polypropylene (PP). In the US market, the demand for these materials is rising at a high rate.
