PTT Global Chemical to Idle HDPE Facility in Thailand

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Thailand-based petrochemical company PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) is going to suspend operations at its high density polyethylene (HDPE) facility for maintenance works. The plant is scheduled to be shut in February-March of 2018 for about two weeks. The HDPE plant is situated at the site in Map Ta Phut (Thailand) and produces about 250,000 metric tons per annum.

In addition, the company is expected to launch commercial operations at its new metallocene C6 linear low density polyethylene (MLLDPE) facility located in Map Ta Phut, (Thailand) in Q1 of 2018.
