CHEMMONITOR.COM – Belgium-based chemical company Solvay S.A. is planning to raise its global production capacity of sulfone polymers in India and the USA. Solvay is set to raise production volumes to satisfy the booming demand for the materials, mainly from such industries as medicine and water treatment.

This expansion is part of Solvay’s previous plan to raise sulfone polymers capacity by over 35% over the course of the next five years.

At the moment, the company is in the process of the new facility construction. Solvay is presently building a plant for polyethersulfone (PESU) production.
