CHEMMONITOR.COM – US-based petrochemicals and plastics company Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC has recently commissioned and launched its new polyethylene (PE) units, located at the site in Old Ocean (Texas, the USA).

These two units are the first to be launched as part of the company’s unprecedented investment in the USA. The units were planned to benefit from cheaper ethane feedstock. Each of the two units is expected to annually produce about 500,000 metric tonnes of PE. They produce PE of various grades, including those used in the production of metallocene linear low-density polyethylene films, high density bi-modal films and pipes.
