Acquisition of Structil by Hexcel to Be Fully Completed in 2017

CHEMMONITOR.COM – U.S.-based company Hexcel is negotiating the acquisition of French company Structil, which is a JV between Safran Ceramics and Mitsubishi Chemical. Structil is a producer and supplier of high-performance composites. The acquisition is expected to be fully completed in 2017.

Structil has about 70 employees. It manufactures prepregs, structural adhesives and pultruded profiles. The company’s high-performance composites are applied in the aerospace, defence and industrial markets. In 2016, the company’s sales reached USD 21 million or EUR 19 million.
