Akzo Nobel and Itaconix Inked Agreement

CHEMMONITOR.COM –Itaconix, a U.S.-based subsidiary of Revolymer, and Akzo Nobel N.V., a Dutch multinational company, have inked a cooperation agreement to produce polymers from renewable ingredients, for instance, from itaconic acid. Under the agreement, Itaconix provides a proprietary polymerisation technology, while Akzo Nobel conducts the development and commercialisation of bio-based polymers, which are essential in everyday life owing to its unique properties.
