Japan Polypropylene Corporation to Build New Polypropylene Plant by 2019

CHEMMONITOR.COM – Japan Polypropylene Corporation plans to build a new 150,000 mt/y polypropylene (PP) facility in Ichihara (Chiba, Japan) by 2019. This will replace two older facilities to keep the total PP capacity at the same level. Japan Polypropylene Corporation is a JV between Japan Polychem Corporation (a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation) and JNC Petrochemical Corporation.

Japan Polypropylene Corporation will feature a polypropylene capacity of 870,000 mt/y by 2017.
