CHEMMONITOR.COM – Total S.A., a French multinational integrated oil and gas company, suspended operations of several units at its 247,000 bpd refinery in Gonfreville (northern France). This happened after a technical incident had occurred at the steam-producing unit. The unit’s backup was off-stream for maintenance at the time of incident.

The company decided to stop the units as a precautionary measure since it was unclear how the incident had affected the production.
