CHEMMONITOR.COM - Solvay Aroma Performance (Belgium) has doubled fluorinated derivatives production volume at its facilities in France.

In June 2012, the company made a three-year investment plan to boost its production volume. The firm managed to raise the potassium trifluoromethanesulfinate (TFSK), triflic acid (TA) and anhydride (TAA) production one year ahead of plan.

In China, the volume of Lithium Bis (Trifluoromethanesulfonyl) Imide (LiTFSI) production has also escalated.

The capacity growth allows Solvay S.A. to follow the requirements for the fluorinated products application in the battery, pharmaceutical intermediates and liquid crystals markets.
