Clariant to Raise Its Ethoxylation Capacity

CHEMMONITOR.COM - The company headquartered in Muttenz (Switzerland), Clariant, is poised to expand its ethoxylation site located at Clear Lake (USA). This second expansion comprises additional storage facilities, new reactors. Moreover, the total ethoxylation capacity will be 125,000 metric tons, up from 95,000 metric tons. The new facility is scheduled to be commissioned in mid 2015.

The products from the new plant are expected to find their main applications in home  and personal care, textile, construction industries. These products are high molecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG), alcohol ethoxylates, sodium isethionates, ethoxylated specialties.
