CHEMMONITOR.COM - Amsterdam-based firm (the Netherlands) AkzoNobel has launched a manufacturing unit in Gwailor, India.

The decorative paints plant has an annual production capacity of around 56 million liters. The plant will assist AkzoNobel in strengthening its strategy of expanding the distribution network for Dulux products in Central and Northern India. Moreover, the facility startup will lessen the time of transportation and reduce logistics spending.

The plant’s design enables low energy consumption. Besides, the facility is able to create more value-added products. Furthermore, certain measures have also been taken to accommodate leading suppliers, which will be vital in making the production process as smooth as possible.
