Transaction of Shares to APICORP in EMethanex to Be Finalized by Late 2013

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Canada-based global leader in the supply, distribution and marketing of methanol, Methanex Corporation, is scheduled to sell a 10% interest in its JV EMethanex to Saudi Arabia-based company Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP). The transaction, which is expected to lift APICORP’s ownership in the joint venture to 17%, is assessed at around USD 110 million. The transaction is slated for completion by late 2013. Methanex Corporation will remain the major stakeholder in EMethanex.
