New Power-to-gas Facility in Werlte in Germany Supplied with CO2-SNG catalyst

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Switzerland-based specialty chemicals company Clariant provided the methanation plant of the facility, which is located at Werlte site in Germany, with a proprietary developed CO2-SNG catalyst. This new power-to-gas facility belongs to Audi. The plant with the annual capacity of 1.4 million cubic meters of renewable synthetic methane was launched in June of 2013 as a part of the company’s comprehensive sustainability initiative.

The Audi’s power-to-gas facility was developed, constructed and built by German plant manufacturer ETOGAS GmbH.
