Lanxess AG Began Operations at Its New Unit

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Specialty chemicals group based in Germany, Lanxess AG, launched the operations at its CO2 concentration plant located in South Africa. The new unit is situated at the company’s Newcastle production site. The project is assessed at EUR 40 million. The construction lasted more than two years.

The CO2 concentration plant is the first one of its kind in South Africa. The unit is to assist the company in future production expansion. Besides, with the new plant Lanxess is predicted to become independent of the delivery capacity of external suppliers.
