New PPS Resin Plant to Go On Line in Gunsan in 2016

CHEMMONITOR.COM -  Multinational corporation Toray Industries, Inc., which is headquartered in Japan, intends to construct a new plant to manufacture polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin under the brand name TORELINA in the Saemangeum Industrial Complex in Gunsan, South Korea.

The company is going to start the PPS facility in April 2016. The annual capacity of the future plant is estimated at about 8,600 tons of the product. The startup of the plant is expected to raise the annual production capacity of Toray Industries, Inc. to about 27,600 tons.
