Clariant Catalysts Plant Expantion to be Completed in October 2013

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Specialty chemicals company, headquartered in Switzerland, Clariant, increased production capacity for Houdry dehydrogenation catalysts at the plant located in the USA. The expansion was carried out successfully. The demand for Houndry catalysts is rising in a line with shale gas development. The rise in production capacity for the catalyst is a major part of the company’s strategy. The plant is slated for completion in October 2013.

Houdry catalysts find their applications in the petrochemical industry C3- and C4-olefins production, which is based on the CATOFIN and CATADIENE technologies.
