CHEMMONITOR.COM - The specialty materials and performance elastomers company Dow Elastomers is apt to construct an ethylene propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM) plant at Plaquemine site. The future NORDEL EPDM facility will employ Dow Elastomers’ own catalyst technology to raise the level of Mooney viscosity in products. The operations at the plant are scheduled to commence in 2016.

The plant is expected to cater for the company’s downstream business. The facility is going to set standards in quality, products performance and production efficiencies. Upon the completion, the plant will further raise the company’s strong leading position in the market for EPDM.
