AkzoNobel New Plants to Be On Stream in 2014 and 2015

CHEMMONITOR.COM - The Dutch company producing decorative paints, performance coatings and specialty chemicals, Akzo Nobel N.V., is going to construct two new plants in Chengdu (China). The investments into a powder coatings plant and decorative paint facility are estimated at about EUR 50 million. The powder coatings plant is forecast to go on stream in 2014. The second facility is poised to be operational in 2015.

The location site, Chengdu, is known as a vital Chinese industrial hub besides being amid the fastest growing cities in China. Nowadays, the company provides more than 7,500 people with work in China. In 2012, its revenues were worth about EUR 1.7 billion.
