Vinyl Acetate-ethylene Copolymer (VAE) Dispersions Production Expected to Rise in Southeastern Asia

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Munich-headquartered German chemical company Wacker Chemie AG will put up a new vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer (VAE) plant at Ulsan site in S Korea. The new complex will produce about 41,000 metric ton of VAE dispersion yearly.

The facility is likely to go on stream in early 2013.

The startup of the plant will allow the company to answer increasing consumption of the material in Southeast Asia region.

This new expansion project is estimated at about EUR 10 million.
