German Specialty Chemicals Producer to Start Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) Unit in 2015

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Leverkusen-headquartered (Germany) specialty chemicals company is going to commission an ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) unit in about three years. The plant will be located at Changzhou site (China).

The construction, which was approved by the local authorities, is assessed at around EUR 234.9 million.

The facility is expected to produce approximately 162,000 metric tons of the material annually.

EPDM consumption in the world market is likely to show an upward surge by roughly 5% in the future.
