New Tar Distillation Unit to Go on Stream at Pizhou City Site (China)

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The Pittsburgh-headquartered US chemicals company Koppers, Inc. and a Chinese Yizhou Group are going to put up a unit in cooperation. The tar distillation plant will be located at Pizhou City site in China.

The facility is a part of a production complex, which includes three units.

The plant will manufacture raw material for needle coke and carbon black production.

Plant construction works are expected to begin this year, and the plant is forecast to be commissioned in two years. The income from the plant will total roughly between USD 150-200 million.
