Chinese Petrochemical Company Completed Second Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) Production Line

CHEMMONITOR.COM – The China-based petrochemical company Keyuan Petrochemicals Inc. launched commercial styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) manufacturing at its second production line. Beforehand, the company implemented pilot tests and production.

The company finished a new SBS plant in early autumn 2011. The annual output of the facility totals about 70,100 tons.

In late June 2012, the second line generated over 13,000 metric tons of material.

The first line was commissioned in early Q1 2012.

In the Chinese market, SBS is assessed at around USD 3,173 per ton.
