Vitol Group to Acquire Royal Dutch Shell Australian Business

CHEMMONITOR.COM - Royal Dutch Shell (the Netherlands) projects to sell its Australian oil business to Vitol Group (Switzerland) for about USD 2.6 billion. The sale includes the 870-site retail business, Geelong oil refinery, bitumen, chemicals and lubricant businesses. The acquisition doesn’t cover the aviation-fuel assets.
