CHEMMONITOR.COM – Covestro, which is an independent subgroup of Bayer, is going to raise thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) production capacity of its plant, located at the site in Changhua County (Taiwan). With this expansion, the facility’s capacity is likely to rise from 18,000 tonnes per annum to about 23,000 tonnes per annum. This project also comprises the setting up of a novel production line. The project is scheduled to be complete by 2018.

The site in Changhua County has enough place for new production lines, therefore the company is not going to construct new plants in Taiwan.
