Plastic Pipes Production in Russia to Decrease By Late 2014

CHEMMONITOR.COM - In 2013, Russian companies doubled their investment into the plastic pipes production capacity expansion, up to USD 69 million if compared to 2012.  The rapid growth of the plastic pipes market in 2012 forced a range of producers to invest into capacity expansion in 2013. In Russia, in 2012, pipe production exceeded 707,000 tonnes, by 39% higher than in 2011.

Traditionally, a lion’s share of investment was aimed at the production of polyethylene (PE) pipes.
